Very good. What you do not do is immediately board the train as soon as it pulls into the station either at San Francisco international airport or Antioch, or wherever the end of the line is at any general station. You may have noticed that they had to close the doors. This allows the train operators to perform what’s called a checkmate, so that they can ensure the train is clear of passengers that were arriving into SFO. Once they have completed their checks, they will go to the other cab on the backside of the train and, unlock the doors from there, allowing passengers to board and take their seats. This allows for boarding of new passengers.

You see that seam in the middle of the vinyl covered seats? It's completely full of crusty nasty gunk. It's better to stand then to have to come in contact with whatever is in there.

Our metro rail system started on the right foot in the late 70's but in the mid 80's turned into a politically driven project that would later also become a way to scam citizens out of their money through the half cent initiative that ended up being used for office new office positions & employee raises rather than new lines.

What's up, man! Looks like you returned to The Golden State. The Muni Metro at the end actually reminds me of the Stadtbahn in Stuttgart because it's a light rail that runs underground unlike a regular streetcar/tram.

The variety of transit infrastructure is what I miss in SF, you have subways, streetcars, tunnels through mountains, BART viaducts, underground passes, and soon a new tunnel to the train station at the SalesForce Transit center. I live in Switzerland and yes the transit is varied but in my city of Basel they only have trams, and it’s all street running, no tunnels or viaducts, just some dedicated lanes and some decent stations. Pretty green and yellow trams though.

I used to ride the 20 bus all the time! Same with the 801. I liked the buses in Austin, they weren't perfect but it was definitely a nice way to get around town. Honestly a real powerhouse of a bus line, solidly frequent too.

Maybe one day I might move in San Francisco because my girlfriend lives in San Francisco

Welcome back to The Golden State! It's too bad that the new Stadler KISS is still not in operation yet for Caltrain and you didn't got a chance to ride it! Oh well, at least there are some FLIRT train running for some agencies. The European trains are way better than America's but I think they both have something special in common. LOL

Interesting your flight appeared to park at what seems to be the concourse that Alaska Airlines uses, judging from the many Eskimo tails I saw! If so, UA is Star Alliance whereas Alaska is oneworld. Would imagine you took BART from SFO to whatever hotel you selected. Will be interesting to see what you cover! I believe there are PCC streetcars that are used somewhere in the downtown area but having never been to San Francisco what do I know! :)

What's up, man! Looks like that you returned back to The Golden State. Trip was smooth and ended well, even though the flight was pretty crowded. The lounge was pretty clean and well served, with many foods to choose and robots that pick up trash or delivers the food. I rode this train from Orlando to West Palm last December. Unfortunately I rode on a Sunday when Jets playing against Dolphins. It was a long loud miserable ride. I'm never doing it again. Just hearing that family talking for your entire ride on this video makes me want to never ride on a train (or plane) again. Nice train, but I'm an introvert, so I would rather drive myself wherever.😊
